The Shiprock Chieftains basketball team scored 82 points and restricted the visiting Cuba Rams to 70 in the Chieftains non-league victory on Friday.

The Chieftains now sport a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Pius X for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 18. Shiprock will battle a Sartans team coming off a 50-46 non-league loss to Taos (Taos, NM). The Sartans record now stands at 4-7.

The Rams (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM). The Bobcats come into the non-league contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Bloomfield was defeated by Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM), 48-42, in a non-league outing.
