The Deming Wildcats (Deming, NM) basketball nipped the host Silver Fighting Colts (Silver City, NM), 46-41 in Tuesday's league test.

The Wildcats (5-18) will now prepare for their test against Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM). The Desert Warriors go into the 4A District 3 test with a 16-7 record. In their last test, Santa Teresa got by Chaparral (Chaparral, NM), 54-39, in a league test.

The Fighting Colts now own a 8-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chaparral for a 4A District 3 test on Friday, February 12. Silver will clash with a Lobos squad coming off a 54-39 league loss to Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM). The Lobos record now stands at 8-16.
