Dexter Demons (Dexter, NM) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Tularosa Wildcats (Tularosa, NM), 59-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Dexter upgrades its record to 15-8 on the season. The Demons host Capitan (Capitan, NM) to play the Tigers in a 3A District 4 bout on Thursday, February 16. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 6-18. Capitan lost 69-36 in their recent non-league bout against Ruidoso (Ruidoso, NM)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Loving Falcons (Loving, NM) in a 3A District 4 bout, on Thursday, February 16. Tularosa will attempt to upgrade on its 15-10 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 9-14 record after their 57-50 league loss to Eunice (Eunice, NM).
