Dora Coyotes (Dora, NM) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mountainair Mustangs (Mountainair, NM), 63-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Dora upgrades its record to 15-5 on the season. The Coyotes travel to Logan (Logan, NM) to play the Longhorns in a 2A District 6 bout on Saturday, February 4. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 7-11. Logan lost 70-64 in their recent league bout against Fort Sumner/House (Fort Sumner, NM)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Hondo Valley Eagles (Hondo, NM) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Mountainair will attempt to upgrade on its 7-13 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 15-5 record after their 75-23 non-league win over Cloudcroft (Cloudcroft, NM).
