The Estancia Bears basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Mountainair Mustangs to 38 in the Bears non-league victory on Saturday.

The Bears now sport a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tucumcari for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 12. Estancia will battle a Rattlers team coming off a 76-41 non-league win over Santa Fe Prep (Santa Fe, NM). The Rattlers record now stands at 7-4.

With the defeat, Mountainair moves to 5-6 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Corona (Corona, NM) to meet the Cardinals in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 12. The Cardinals enter the match with a record of 1-6. Corona lost 74-25 in their recent non-league match against Grady/House (Grady, NM)
