The Texico Wolverines basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Floyd Broncos to 23 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Wolverines now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Logan for a non-league contest on Friday, January 8. Texico will battle a Longhorns team coming off a 59-32 non-league win over Dora/Elida (Dora, NM). The Longhorns record now stands at 8-3.

The Broncos (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against Vaughn (Vaughn, NM). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 8-1 record. In their last contest, Vaughn triumphed over Santa Fe Waldorf (Santa Fe, NM), 54-44, in a non-league contest.
