With the win, Tularosa upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Wildcats host Cloudcroft (Cloudcroft, NM) to encounter the Bears in a 2A District 5 bout on Friday, January 23. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 2-9. Cloudcroft lost 57-40 in their recent league bout against Capitan (Capitan, NM)

Next up, the Chiefs encounter the Tatum Coyotes (Tatum, NM) in a 1A District 8 bout, on Friday, January 23. Mescalero Apache will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Coyotes go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 45-40 non-league loss to Hagerman (Hagerman, NM).
