Next, the Thunderbirds encounter the Tohatchi Cougars (Tohatchi, NM) in a 3A District 1 test, on Friday, January 31. Zuni will attempt to improve on its 11-8 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 17-2 record after their 70-55 league win over Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM).

The Skyhawks (6-13) will now prepare for their test against Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM). The Eagles come into the 3A District 1 test with a 14-5 record. In their last test, Navajo Prep bounced Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM), 60-43, in a league test.
