Questa Wildcats (Questa, NM) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Penasco Panthers (Penasco, NM), 70-31 in a league bout.

With the victory, Questa upgrades its record to 14-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Mesa Vista (Ojo Caliente, NM) to play the Trojans in a 2A District 5 bout on Wednesday, February 11. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 6-11. Mesa Vista lost 71-39 in their recent league test against Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM)

The Panthers now own a 4-14 record. They play next when they travel to McCurdy for a 2A District 5 test on Tuesday, February 10. Penasco will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 70-54 league loss to Penasco (Penasco, NM). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-13.
