The Zuni Thunderbirds basketball team (Zuni, NM), was overwhelmed 87-27 in Saturday's league battle with the host Ramah Mustangs (Ramah, NM)

The Mustangs now possess a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tohatchi for a 2A District 1 battle on Tuesday, February 5. Ramah will confront a Cougars team coming off a 70-39 league win over Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM). The Cougars record now stands at 11-8.

The Thunderbirds (3-11) will now prepare for their battle against Rehoboth Christian (Rehoboth, NM). The Lynx come into the 2A District 1 battle with a 11-8 record. In their last battle, Rehoboth Christian trounced Navajo Pine (Navajo, NM), 42-36, in a league battle.
