The Springer Red Devils basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Vaughn Eagles to 35 in the Red Devils non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Red Devils now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Questa for a non-league contest on Friday, January 10. Springer will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 63-42 non-league loss to Penasco (Penasco, NM). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-9.
The Eagles (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Native American Community Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Native American Community Academy was routed by Santa Fe Indian (Santa Fe, NM), 77-56, in a non-league contest.
