The Lovington Wildcats nipped the host Artesia Bulldogs softball squad by a final score of 4-3 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Wildcats (14-6) will now prepare for their battle against Goddard (Roswell, NM). The Rockets go into the 4A District 4 battle with a 3-17 record. In their last battle, Goddard was edged by Portales (Portales, NM), 4-2, in a league battle.

The Bulldogs now possess a 16-3 record. They play next when they travel to Portales for a 4A District 4 battle on Friday, April 26. Artesia will meet a Rams squad coming off a 4-2 league win over Goddard (Roswell, NM). The Rams record now stands at 11-9.
