Goddard Rockets (Roswell, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Clovis Wildcats (Clovis, NM), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Rockets now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bloomfield for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 28. Goddard will battle a Bobcats squad coming off a 13-9 non-league win over Robertson (Las Vegas, NM). The Bobcats record now stands at 8-5.

With the loss, Clovis falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to St. Michael's (Santa Fe, NM) to battle the Horsemen in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 28. The Horsemen enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. St. Michael's won 16-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM)
