Next, the Thunderbirds meet the Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM) in a 3A District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, April 28. Zuni will attempt to upgrade on its 8-15 season record. The Skyhawks enter the challenge with a 3-15 record after their 22-13 league loss to Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM).

The Skyhawks (3-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Zuni (Zuni, NM). The Thunderbirds enter the 3A District 1 challenge with a 6-15 record. In their last challenge, Zuni overcame Thoreau (Thoreau, NM), 16-4, in a league challenge.
