The Quemado Eagles volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Animas Panthers to 0 in the Eagles league victory on Saturday.

The Eagles now have a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Magdalena for a non-league game on Thursday, October 8. Quemado will meet a Steers team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM). The Steers record now stands at 7-5.

The Panthers (2-8) will now prepare for their game against Reserve (Reserve, NM). The Mountaineers enter the 1A District 2 game with a 1-10 record. In their last game, Reserve dropped by Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM), 3-0, in a non-league game.
