The Grants Pirates volleyball team (Grants, NM), was dropped 3-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the host Aztec Tigers (Aztec, NM)

The Tigers (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM). The Bobcats enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Bloomfield was dropped by Miyamura (Gallup, NM), 3-1, in a non-league bout.

The Pirates now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Kirtland Central for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 5. Grants will play a Broncos squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Ignacio (Ignacio, CO). The Broncos record now stands at 1-0.
