The Maxwell Bears volleyball team (Maxwell, NM), went down 3-1 in Saturday's league challenge with the host Springer Devils (Springer, NM)

The Devils (4-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Cimarron (Cimarron, NM). The Rams enter the 1A District 1 challenge with a 6-2 record. In their last challenge, Cimarron went down by Roy (Roy, NM), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bears encounter the Roy Longhorns (Roy, NM) in a 1A District 1 challenge, on Saturday, October 11. Maxwell will attempt to move on its 6-6 season record. The Longhorns go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 3-2 league loss to Des Moines (Des Moines, NM).
