Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting White Pine Bobcats (Ely, NV), 58-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pershing County upgrades its record to 22-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs host North Tahoe (Tahoe City, CA) to play the Lakers in a 2A Northern bout on Saturday, February 10. The Lakers come into the bout with a record of 6-17. North Tahoe lost 58-45 in their recent league bout against Incline (Incline Village, NV)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Pahranagat Valley Panthers (Alamo, NV) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 10. White Pine will attempt to upgrade on its 6-17 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 22-3 record after their 59-26 league win over Indian Springs (Indian Springs, NV).
