    Sam Williams has been named player of the year. "Congratulations to senior Sam Williams for being selected as the Hawks' Player of the Year for the 2012-2013 season, Sam scored 25 points a game and averaged nine rebounds a game. He led us to the High Desert League title, the Northern Region championship, and the State Semi-Final game in Las Vegas. Even though he was the foundation at the five spot, Sam showed greater diversity in his game when compared and contrasted to the season he had in 2011-2012. Sam was a threat from the outside in terms of initiating the offense, distributing the ball, hitting treys, driving the lane, rebounding, and getting to the line. Opponents often found it difficult to double-team and triple-team him because he wasn't going mostly block-to-block in our offenses. We depended on him for so much in our 23-7 season. Good luck to Sam as he pursues playing at the next level!"
