In Friday's league battle, the visiting Warwick Wildcats lacrosse team scored a nice 14-3 win over the Kingston Tigers.
The Wildcats now have a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Newburgh Free Academy for a non-league battle on Monday, April 12. Warwick will face a Goldbacks team coming off a 16-9 non-league loss to Roosevelt (Hyde Park, NY). The Goldbacks record now stands at 0-2.
In their next game, the Tigers face the Washingtonville Wizards (Washingtonville, NY) in a Section 9 A challenge, on Monday, April 12. Kingston will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Wizards come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 21-3 league loss to Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY).


After an early Kingston goal, Warwick scored 7 straight and cruised to a 14-3 final. Jon Roerdan scored 4 goals while Byron Quinn added 3 goals and 4 assists. Collin Baldwin tallied 4 points on 2 goals and 2 assists, while Keegan McNamara also added a pair of goals. Branden Fernandez went a remarkable 17 for 18 on faceoffs, giving Warwick the ball all night long. James Kolesar, Russell Broere and Alex Alario also netted goals for the Wildcats, now 2-0 for the year.
