Kara Houppert has been named player of the year. "Kara finishes her 5 yr career as the all time scorer at Webster Thomas with 1,129pts and the career leader in steals and assists. She is a 3 yr Captain who has accepted a full ride to Slippery Rock University in the Fall. She led her team to a record breaking 15-5 season. Her team has improved each year under her leadership. She is an All Greater Rochester player, 1st team Monroe County All Star and a Section V AA1 All Tournament selection. She has been a NY Scholar Athlete all 5 years and is active in the community volunteering her time and raising funds for local charities. She and her teammates helped raise over $5,000 for local charities this season. "
