The Minerva Lions baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Salem Quakers to 0 in the Lions league win on Wednesday.

The Lions now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Edison for a non-league test on Friday, April 17. Minerva will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 17-7 non-league win over Buckeye Local (Rayland, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-2.

With the defeat, Salem drops to 1-8 on the year. The Quakers host Girard (Girard, OH) to clash with the Indians in a non-league test on Friday, April 17. The Indians go into the test with a record of 2-9. Girard lost 10-0 in their recent league test against Hubbard (Hubbard, OH)
