Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets (Mt. Vernon, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host New Albany Eagles (New Albany, OH), 8-7 in a non-league test.
With the win, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 12-11 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Highland (Sparta, OH) to battle the Fighting Scots in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 7. The Fighting Scots come into the test with a record of 13-4. Highland won 9-3 in their recent non-league test against Buckeye Valley (Delaware, OH)
With the defeat, New Albany falls to 11-17 on the season. The Eagles travel to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, OH) to battle the Yellowjackets in a non-league test on Wednesday, May 8. The Yellowjackets come into the test with a record of 12-11.
