Matt Bloomfield has been named player of the year. "Matt Bloomfield was a four year letterman for the Fairland Dragons, and displayed hard work, dedication, desire, and put his team goals before his individual goals. These were the four characteristics that the coaching staff at Fairland hopes to install in their team and Matt was a great example of all four. During his senior year Matt carried the ball 104 times for 751 yards and 11 touchdowns, he also caught 13 passes for 443 yards that is an average of 34.1 yards per catch. He played both safety and corner for the Dragons this season. While in the Secondary he recorded 29 tackles, two interceptions and recovered four fumbles. Matt also scored 98 points during his senior season. He will truly be missed by the Dragon coaching staff and is very deserving of this award. "
