The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Belpre Golden Eagles (Belpre, OH) and the host Athens Bulldogs (The Plains, OH), saw Belpre's softball squad achieve victory over Athens by a count of 19-3.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 17-5 record. They take the field next when they host South Gallia for a Tri-Valley II match on Tuesday, May 3. Belpre will face a Rebels squad coming off a 23-0 league loss to Belpre (Belpre, OH). The Rebels record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Athens falls to 1-2 on the campaign.
