2026 - 2027 Preview Information

StrengthsThe Chieftains return six (6) starters for the 2026 season. They will be led by two-way starter Carter Childs, Sr. RB/OLB. Sophomore Kenneth Johnson III will be joined by two transfers at WR; Senior, Cashawn Thompson & Senior, Dariane Loya. That trio will try and match the firepower the Chieftains had last year with Jay Ladd and Mason Bennett, both departing for Oklahoma Baptist University. Seminole will once again have good size upfront with Jr., Sawyer King transferring in and returning Jr. starter Braden Bird anchoring a young offensive line. The biggest question for the Chieftains will be at QB. Donovan Garfield was the kind of player that is a hard act to follow. Head Coach Mike Snyder has been quoted saying "Garfield is one of the smartest players I have ever coached". That speaks volumes for a Head Coach that is one (1) win away from number 400. Jr. transfer Lawson Boudreaux will be Snyder's first choice to fill Garfield's role.
