The Churchill Lancers crushed the visiting Marshfield Pirates baseball team by a count of 14-5 in Friday's league bout.
The Lancers now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Willamette for a 5A Midwestern game on Monday, April 9. Churchill will clash with a Wolverines team coming off a 7-4 league win over Springfield (Springfield, OR). The Wolverines record now stands at 6-2.
The Pirates (0-7) will now prepare for their game against Marist (Eugene, OR). The Spartans go into the 5A Midwestern game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Marist overcame Cottage Grove (Cottage Grove, OR), 7-1, in a non-league game.
