Coaches Game Summary
Sheldon rolled over Willamette 10-0 on Wednesday after an eight-run rally in the fourth inning.
Levi Rotherham racked up two RBIs on two hits for Irish. He singled in the fourth inning and tripled in the fourth inning. Sam Olsson also had two hits and a RBI, including a double to lead off the fourth.
Sheldon added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth to complete a 10-run rule victory.
Willamette couldn't get anything going as long as Brandon Brancato was on the mound. Willamette managed just one hit off of Brancato, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his five innings of work.
Matt Hubbs took the loss for Willamette. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
Mitch Herbert and David Bellamy also had hits for the Irish who improved to 3-5 on the season. Sheldon plays Willamette again Wednesday in a 5:00 contest at Willamette.
