In Saturday's league outing, the Pendleton Buckaroos (Pendleton, OR) basketball squad edged the visiting Bend Lava Bears (Bend, OR), by a margin of 56-50.

The Buckaroos (8-6) will now prepare for their outing against Madras (Madras, OR). The White Buffaloes go into the 5A Intermountain outing with a 5-6 record. In their last outing, Madras was tipped by Crook County (Prineville, OR), 88-67, in a league outing.

The Lava Bears now own a 4-10 record. They take the field next when they host Summit for a 5A Intermountain outing on Tuesday, January 15. Bend will encounter a Storm squad coming off a 73-62 league loss to The Dalles-Wahtonka (The Dalles, OR). The Storm record now stands at 7-7.
