Union Bobcats (Union, OR) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Elgin Huskies (Elgin, OR), 63-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Union upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Bobcats host Powder Valley (North Powder, OR) to play the Badgers in a non-league bout on Monday, December 21. The Badgers go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Powder Valley won 57-32 in their recent league bout against Joseph (Joseph, OR)

Next up, the Huskies play the Dayville/Monument Tigers (Dayville, OR) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 21. Elgin will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 70-66 non-league win over Council (Council, ID).
