The Highlanders defensive effort paved the path to victory in this non-conference rivalry game. The communication team wide was an integral part of the win & has been point of emphasis for North Eugene to improve upon. Senior Henry Keeney led the scoring effort with 4 goals in only 5 shots. Keeney was also a key factor in stopping counter after counter from the Axemen with his relentless speed. Junior Josh Sims had 3 goals for the Highlanders & also came up with the game clinching save, returning to his goalie roots for last 3 seconds of the game. Junior Isaac "Stretch" Randall played an incredible game, dishing out 4 assists while also being a defensive force with 4 steals. Coach Pluid challenged him to rise up for this game and Randall certainly did that. The atmosphere at River Road Pool was electric for this rivalry game & helped fuel the 4th quarter comeback surge for the Highlanders. Lets duplicate that environment this Saturday at 10am versus the Ashland Grizzlies. #packthepool
