Megan Szkolnicki has been named player of the year. "In Football, they call them the Quarterback. In Basketball, they are the point guard. These are the players who make all the others look good. Well, in volleyball you are very lucky to have such a player; a setter. Megan has started every varsity contest for four year; never missed a game. She has played sick and hurt and always made her teammates look very good in the process. She accumluated 1,237 assists over her four years and never complained once about the passing that had her sprinting around the court. She has quietly led her team to 3 straight District title games; winning the last two. Her efforts have carried her team to the State Quarterfinals in each of the last two seasons. It is rare that a coach has such a talent and we all must savor such a player for as long as we are priviledged enough to coach them. I know I have."
