    George Palermo has been named player of the year. "George was one of our captains this year and anchored our infield defense at SS. He led the team and almost the league in batting average and several other offensive categories. He even threw a few innings of relief when needed. Without George's leadership, commitment, and abilities we would not have made it to the district championship game "
