He finished the season averaging 27.9 points in Public League play and 27.2 points overall. He also averaged 6.2 rebounds, 3.4 steals, and 2.8 assists. He broke several school records including all-time points (1,550), points per game in a season, total points in a season, and total wins in a career. He goes down in history as the greatest player in Paul Robeson High School history. #2 Walter Hester."
