Luis Rodriguez has been named player of the year. "The player of the year for Fels High is Luis Rodriguez. Luis is a 4 year starter who has earned all public honors the last two years. In the B division this year, Luis ranked in the top two in four categories. Luis was first in slugging percentage(1.021), 2nd in batting average(.609), 2nd in RBI's(29), and 2nd in OBP(.633). Luis had 12 doubles, 2 triples, and a homerun. Luis has also been a team captain for the last two years, and he has really emerged these past two years as the heart and soul of our team. This year, Luis led by example, giving 110% every game, despite having dropped several games by wide margins. In the field, Luis is also stellard, a utility player that plays wherever I need him. I am sorry to lose Luis, but I'm happy for how he has played and sacrificed the last 4 years."
