Tyler Garrone has been named player of the year. "Tyler was the best high school hitter that I ever coached. He has a unique ability to hit the ball to all fields with power while maintaining an extremely high batting average. Because we did not have a power hitter hitting behind him this year, he never got many good pitches to hit. Yet he still managed to hit 500 and hit the pitchers mistakes out of the park. He hit the longest home run - measured at 525 feet, that I ever saw hit by a high school player. He also played well defensively although further development in this area is needed for him to become a pro prospect."
