Kealen Ives has been named player of the year. "It is my honor to name Kealen Ives as the Classical High School Boy's Basketball Player of the Year. Kealen was the undisputed leader of the State Champion Classical High School basketball team. He was named as a captain at the start of the season. He led Classical in scoring 21.8 ppg, assists 5.4 apg, and steals 2.8 spg. He scored over 600 points this season, including his 1,000 point of his career. Kealen was selected 1st Team All Division I - Central and 1st Team All League. He was named to the All Tournament teams for the BBA Holiday Invitational Tournament as well as the Brockton Rotary Club Holiday Basketball Tournament. Kealen led Classical to the State Championship and was name the MVP of the Rhode Island State Basketball Tournament. He led Classical with 22 points and 8 assists in the State Championship game. Kealen has come a long way in a short time. He committed himself to his teammates and coaches and has done everything that you can ask a player to do. "
