South Carolina High School Basketball - Chester topped by Lugoff-Elgin
The Lugoff-Elgin Demons basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the visiting Chester Cyclones to 53 in the Demons league victory on Tuesday.
The Demons now sport a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Lower Richland for a AAA Region IV contest on Friday, January 16. Lugoff-Elgin will meet a Diamond Hornets team coming off a 73-53 league loss to Fairfield Central (Winnsboro, SC). The Diamond Hornets record now stands at 11-4.
The Cyclones (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against Chapin (Chapin, SC). The Eagles come into the AAA Region IV contest with a 7-11 record. In their last contest, Chapin was defeated by Flora (Columbia, SC), 48-47, in a league contest.
