Micah Hagan has been named player of the year. "Micah was our most consistent hitter all season from opening game until the end of the season in Regional play. He carried us offensively until his teammates began to see the ball better. Micah had a contact rate of 94%. He collected 54 total bases this season. Micah had 62 Quality At-Bats with a percentage of 63.27%. A quality at-bat consists of any one of: 3 pitches after 2 strikes, 6 pitch AB, XBH, HHB(hard hit ball), BB, SAC Bunt, or SAC fly. He went 2-3 against Vanderbilt signee Luke Murphy in our game at Vanderbilt University. Defensively, he committed 1 error in 77 chances in the field for a fielding percentage of .987. He was part of a very good middle infield for us. Nothing got by him. On the mound, he was solid as well. He came in to shut teams down in the late innings.
