In Saturday's league game, the host Progreso Red Ants baseball team scored a tight 9-3 victory over the La Feria Lions.

The Red Ants (6-6) will now prepare for their game against Rio Hondo (Rio Hondo, TX). The Bobcats go into the 4A Region IV District 32 game with a 6-9 record.

The Lions (6-10) will now prepare for their game against Grulla (Rio Grande City, TX). The Gators go into the 4A Region IV District 32 game with a 6-9 record. In their last game, Grulla was overwhelmed by Raymondville (Raymondville, TX), 7-4, in a league game.
