Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Comstock Panthers (Comstock, TX) and the visiting Knippa Crushers (Knippa, TX), saw Comstock's basketball squad hold off Knippa by a count of 58-56.

With the victory, Comstock upgrades its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Leakey (Leakey, TX) to play the Eagles in a 1A-2 Region IV District 31 challenge on Tuesday, February 8. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 15-11. Leakey won 61-52 in their recent league challenge against Utopia (Utopia, TX)

Next up, the Crushers play the Nueces Canyon Panthers (Barksdale, TX) in a 1A-2 Region IV District 31 challenge, on Tuesday, February 8. Knippa will attempt to upgrade on its 18-8 season record.
