Texas High School Basketball - Sands winner over Loop
In Friday's league outing, the Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Loop Longhorns (Loop, TX), by a margin of 61-46.
The Mustangs (11-6) will now prepare for their outing against Borden (Gail, TX). The Coyotes go into the 1A-2 Region II District 9 outing with a 5-2 record. In their last outing, Borden was beaten by Grady (Lenorah, TX), 57-44, in a league outing.
The Longhorns now own a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they host Grady for a 1A-2 Region II District 9 outing on Tuesday, February 10. Loop will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 54-34 league win over Dawson (Welch, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 21-5.
