Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Roscoe Plowboys (Roscoe, TX), 54-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Sands upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs host O'Donnell (O'Donnell, TX) to play the Eagles in a 1A-2 Region I District 8 bout on Tuesday, December 14. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 2-4. O'Donnell lost 67-66 in their recent non-league bout against Plainview Christian (Plainview, TX)

Next up, the Plowboys play the Albany Lions (Albany, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 14. Roscoe will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 4-0 record after their 50-31 non-league win over Wylie (Abilene, TX).
