Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Spring Hill Panthers (Longview, TX) and the visiting Harmony Eagles (Big Sandy, TX), witnessed Spring Hill's softball squad tip Harmony by a count of 5-2.
The Panthers now sport a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Kilgore for a 3A Region II District 16 match on Tuesday, March 5. Spring Hill will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 14-3 non-league loss to Benton (Benton, AR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-11.
With the loss, Harmony moves to 5-7 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Troup (Troup, TX) to encounter the Tigers in a 2A Region III District 18 test on Tuesday, March 5. The Tigers enter the test with a record of 9-4. Troup won 5-0 in their recent league test against Sabine (Gladewater, TX)
