Jefferson Bulldogs (Jefferson, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Longview Lobos (Longview, TX), 16-11 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mabank for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 22. Jefferson will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Stephenville (Stephenville, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Longview falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Lobos travel to Tatum (Tatum, TX) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 29. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-4.
