The Payson Lions softball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Provo Bulldogs to 2 in the Lions league win on Tuesday.

The Lions now possess a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Orem for a 4A Region 8 battle on Thursday, April 24. Payson will confront a Tigers team coming off a 8-0 league loss to Uintah (Vernal, UT). The Tigers record now stands at 14-9.

With the loss, Provo moves to 4-14 on the season. The Bulldogs host Highland (Salt Lake City, UT) to confront the Rams in a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 23. The Rams come into the battle with a record of 6-5. Highland won 7-5 in their recent league battle against Alta (Sandy, UT)
