Ben Douglas has been named player of the year. "Ben Douglas has been named Player of the Year for Springville Boys Volleyball for the second year in a row. Ben was the starting setter for the 4th consecutive season, and was selected by his peers as team captain for the fourth year in a row. He helped lead the team to a 21-3-2 season, a fourth consecutive Regional Championship, a third place finish in the state tournament, and a #2 ranking in the state at the end of the season. Individually, Ben contributed to his team's success in a variety of ways, leading the team in seven different statistical categories (aces, service rating, service percentage, solo blocks, digs, and assists), and finishing second in another (total blocks). Ben will continue his volleyball career at Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN in the fall of 2021 after he completes two years of missionary service in Cordoba Argentina for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Congratulations to Ben on another great season, and good luck in the future!"
