Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA) and the host Council Cobras (Council, VA), saw Grundy's basketball squad wallop Council by a count of 59-35.

With the victory, Grundy upgrades its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Golden Wave host Twin Valley (Pilgrims Knob, VA) to play the Panthers in a Black Diamond challenge on Thursday, February 10. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 3-13. Twin Valley won 42-41 in their recent league challenge against Council (Council, VA)

Next up, the Cobras play the Holston Cavaliers (Damascus, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 10. Council will attempt to upgrade on its 1-20 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 6-12 record after their 58-48 league loss to Patrick Henry (Glade Spring, VA).
