The Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA) basketball nipped the host Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA), 52-49 in Tuesday's league test.

The Trojans (4-11) will now prepare for their test against Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA). The Warriors go into the 3A Conference 31 test with a 1-14 record. In their last test, Magna Vista got by Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA), 58-49, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 9-6 record. They play next when they host George Washington for a 4A Conference 23 test on Friday, January 27. Patrick County will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 78-72 league win over Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 10-3.
