The Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA) softball nipped the visiting Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA), 3-2 in Thursday's league outing.

The Cougars now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Radford for a Three Rivers outing on Wednesday, April 9. Patrick County will encounter a Bobcats team coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Galax (Galax, VA). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Glenvar moves to 3-2 on the season. The Highlanders host Carroll County (Hillsville, VA) to encounter the Cavaliers in a Three Rivers outing on Tuesday, April 8. The Cavaliers come into the outing with a record of 3-2.
